Tako je po\u010deo fotografirati ljude koji na svojim putovanjima pose\u017eu za knjigom. Osim \u0161to je svojim fotografijama zabilje\u017eio kulturu \u010ditanja pod zemljom, autor je do\u0161ao i do nekih zanimljivih zaklju\u010daka.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>Gerritsen was struck by the incredible diversity of books he  saw in the subway system. He was also interested in observing how an  individual\u2019s choice of book was as much an expression of identity as an  item of clothing. Gerritsen found the L train\u2019s reading material  especially interesting.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe L is the most intellectual line, I think. A lot of  people are going to Brooklyn. They read certain books. There is a  difference,\u201d he said. <\/em><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><em>This past spring, Gerritsen returned to New York to take a  different look at the decline of printed books, this time photographing  readers with their e-readers for a digital book app,\u00a0The Last Book Revisited.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><em>\u201cI found it quite boring.
